Seymour is a warm, vibrant city which provides residents and businesses the benefits of a smaller community while being very close to the resources of large metropolitan areas in Green Bay and the Fox River Valley.

The city’s large industrial park on the community’s east side provides free land for businesses willing to make their investment in the city. A new fire station is located on the edge of the park provides full fire and rescue protection for businesses and homes throughout the city.
The city has a full-time police department and operates water and sanitary sewer services for residents.

The safe residential streets provide hometown warmth for the city’s 3,200 residents. New housing developments provide building lots for those wishing to create their own dream.

Health care needs are provided by two fully staffed medical clinics and one chiropractic clinic. Good Shepherd Services operates a nationally recognized facility for long-term care and assisted living.
The Seymour Community School District is widely recognized as a strong, innovative school district, which not only educates its students, but also provides them with the enthusiasm and drive to succeed.

Located on WIS 54 and 55 just 17 miles west of Green Bay and 20 miles north of downtown Appleton, Seymour boasts an ideal location. A drive, or even better, a walk, down any of Seymour’s streets will show pride of ownership, strong neighborhoods and old-fashioned values in the heart of Outagamie County.

Seymour boasts five large parks, including a swimming lake, baseball, soccer, softball and other park facilities.

Seymour is the Home of the Hamburger. Charlie Nagreen created the first hamburger in 1885 at the Seymour Fair and Seymour has been celebrating its history ever since. Each August, Burger Fest brings thousands of people to the community for the Ketchup Slide, a parade, the Bun Run and other festivities. The city also holds the world’s record for the largest burger, creating an 8,000-pound monster hamburger.

Seymour is also home to the Outagamie County Fair. The July event brings about 80,000 visitors to the city each July. Big name entertainment and a nationally ranked midway draw the crowds along with 2,000 4-H members who show their best each summer.
